Well, Christmas is over and we have rung in the New Year.  During this past week many people made New Year resolutions.  Did you make any?  Most of these deal with either working on a healthier and better body or improving your lifestyle.  I have two suggestions for resolutions to give you peace of mind and make the lives of your family and loved ones better.  First, if you have delinquent taxes or unfiled tax returns, give yourself and your family peace of mind by letting me resolve your tax situation.  There is always a solution and I can help you find the best one.  The IRS is very receptive to workable solutions and will help, especially now due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  New legislation has been passed that gives more breaks to delinquent taxpayers and the Fresh Start program is still very helpful in many cases.  My second suggestion is to create a Family Trust so that your assets will be passed to whom you want when you want and there will be no probate.  Bequests can be delayed for a generation or more to achieve the goals you desire.  This gives your surviving loved ones tremendous peace of mind.  You do not have to be rich to benefit from a trust.  We can also prepare a will, Durable Power of Attorney, Living Will or Health Care Power of Attorney for you.
