Which tax form should I use to prepare my 2018 return, Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ?

In prior years one had to choose one of the above forms based on the amount and kind of income you made, whether or not you itemize deductions, etc.  However, pursuant to our new tax law, the IRS now states that everyone (individuals, not companies) will use the same form – the redesigned Form 1040.  This should make life easier for everyone.  Also, because of the new and higher standard deduction amounts, most people, even those who previously used itemized deductions, will now use the standard deduction.  I am recommending that most people will benefit from using a professional to prepare their taxes this year due to all the changes.
