Some Thoughts on the Fourth

Did you have a Grand Fourth of July? I hope you did and I hope you not only celebrated our independence but also remembered all those who have fought and died for our country and those who today are in foreign countries all over the world fighting to maintain that independence. I truly believe that, with all our faults, this is still the greatest country in the world! Whenever we are threatened, Americans pull together to protect each other and to protect the values on which this great country was built. I hope you will take this week to renew your vow to always protect and practice those values.
Of course, taxes are part of the price we pay for our freedom and I know that people can get behind in paying their taxes for many reasons. My clients are not bad Americans or bad people, but are caught up in bad economic situations usually beyond their control. The good news is that you can get out of tax trouble.
Whether you have tax problems, spousal problems, business problems or other kinds of problems, I hope you were able to put them aside as you celebrated the Fourth and just enjoyed being with family and friends. But remember that worrying about a problem never solves it, only action can. So now that the holiday is over stop worrying about your problems and take action.
