Six reasons to have a trust instead of a will

There are many reasons why one should consider having a Family Trust.  Six of these are:

1. The Trustor will avoid probate with a properly funded trust.
2. The Court does not notify creditors since the decedent’s case does not go to Court.
3. The Trustor can give future gifts (for years after his death) from the trust, unlike a will.
4. If the trust is for a husband and wife, the trust continues after the death of the first party.
5. The trust is a private document and is not recorded anywhere.
6. The trust provides greater for the children in a blended marriage.
